When the battery is empty there’s nothing left to give

So many of us want to try and help others which is a good trait to have. However, when you are drained yourself and there is nothing left inside, you have no energy or sense of direction, you’re absolutely exhausted. That’s when it’s time to help yourself.

You can only help others when you are in a good place. That’s why it’s important to recognise when you can feel yourself slipping and you need to stop take a breath and decide what it is that you need to #recharge your batteries.

It can be anything from #meditating, going for a walk, being in the right company, having a treatment yourself or listening to the right #music.

Whatever it is that works for you do it. Its important that you do it when you need to do it otherwise it becomes a slippery slope and then your #energy just goes and you feel drained #exhausted tired, you then get ill and it’s hard to get yourself back. You just exist and that’s no way to continue life.

In order to be a good #therapist you need to recognise when you need to give your body that time to recharge in order to help others.

You can only help others when you make sure that you are in the right place to start with.

So my recommendation would be give yourself a bit of me time once a week and a special treat once a month. To help keep and maintain a healthy balance in your life. It gives you something to look forward to and gives you that sense of excitement for yourself.
